As we talked about in last weekend’s post on what the L.A. Rams are best at, the ‘99 “Greatest Show on Turf” is the most iconic team of the past 40 years. All due respect to Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, the defenses of the 2000 Ravens, 2002 Bucs, and 2013 Seahawks, or whatever other team you think is being “disrespected” right now, just last year people were trying to coin the phrase “Greatest Show on Surf” for the Miami Dolphins.

In re-living the past of the Rams, it stood out to me that the only two teams that come close to the ‘99 output of scoring is the 2001 Rams and the 2018 Rams, while the only team that was even in the ballpark for scoring differential was Mike Martz’s team in ‘01 that lost to Brady’s Patriots.
